The 7th China Tianjin International Helicopter Expo opened on October 16th in the Tianjin Airport Economic Zone. This year's expo added a new low-altitude economy display area, where several military and civilian helicopters and low-altitude aircraft debuted.
The four-day expo was hosted by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) and the People's Liberation Army (PLA). A total of 52 helicopters, drones, and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft were exhibited and demonstrated, primarily including the Army's Z-10, Z-19, Z-20, Z-20T, Z-8L, and KVD001 and KVD002 drones, as well as the AVIC AC312E and AC311A, Leonardo AW139, and Airbus H135.
AVIC also showcased the Z-20 and AR-E series of new energy aircraft through models and virtual reality. With the development of the low-altitude economy, the popularity of eVTOL products continues to rise. The AR-E40, AR-E300, and AR-E300A, developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, were also on display at the conference.
The Army's exhibition primarily consisted of static displays, flight demonstrations, and indoor exhibitions. The static displays focused on displaying the Army's aviation assault force's current main combat equipment, including helicopters, drones, and airborne weapons. The flight demonstrations focused on showcasing the excellent handling qualities and advanced combat capabilities of domestically produced helicopters. The indoor exhibition showcased the transformation and development of the People's Liberation Army in the new era and the achievements of the Army's aviation assault force's equipment development through images, text, and videos.
The China Tianjin International Helicopter Expo is the only national-level international helicopter professional exhibition in my country. It has been successfully held for six sessions since 2011, providing a platform for equipment display and technical exchange for global helicopter manufacturers, and promoting cooperation and development of the international helicopter industry.
